WAP54G..
This AP’s S**k, u know?? ‘coz of this AP, i’ve failed the national IT/Network support competition! But it’s not wise to blame on it..
The story begin when i need an AP for the national IT/Network support competition in Makassar a month ago. I choosed WAP54G because it’s widely used and it’s price. The testing didn’t show any malfunction or else.. So, i brought it to Makassar. Firstly, the AP worked without problem. But the problem showed up when the game almost over..
I couldn’t connect to my AP from my notebook’s wireless device or my server’s LAN.. I’ve tried to reset the AP, but it’s not working!!Damn, i’ve only got 3 minutes left.. I can’t ping AP’s IP, or even logon to web-based administration.
And.. My AP remains unconnectable.. And that make me “disqualified” from the competition, altough all of my server was running.. When i’m home, i’ve tested it again. And i still can’t connect via wireless or cable.
Several days ago, a person told me in YM that maybe someone upgraded my AP’s firmware. I told this to Ernawan and Robee, my teachers..
But today, fortunately, i can connect to that Fuck*n AP via wireless. And it’s firmware wasn’t upgraded at all! Damn.. but the test shows the LAN port on the AP is not working anymore..
Yeah, just like my friend achir’s said to me.. wong pinter kalah karo wong bejo ( Even a smart man can be defeated by a lucky man )
